THE STONE HOUSE
During your stay at the Stone House, which is perched on the hillside, you will have nothing short of a grandstand view as it overlooks the Cheat River. From its multi-level deck with private hot tub, you can watch the fisherman negotiate the rapids and eddies of one West Virginia’s finest locations to trout fish, the famous Shavers Fork. Where generations have vacationed, it is a historic solid stone structure located at the entrance to the Monongahela National Forest. For those who enjoy flyfishing, the journey along the river’s bank will lead you into the bounds of the Monongahela National Forest where others are seldom seen.

Its exposed rafters, and fireplace made from the stone carried up from the river it, reflect century old cottage charm. Modernized over time, it offers all the conveniences: forced air heat, air conditioning, and cable TV.
Complimenting your stay, is a full kitchen, equipped with all the essentials, to include dinnerware that matches the eclectic décor. A charcoal barbecue grill, picnic table, outdoor seating, and multiple floor fans will add to your comfort.
The first floor has a full bath, and a bedroom with a queen. The second floor has an additional bath, and two more bedrooms furnished with a queen and a set of twins.
With a the flick of a switch, the flames of the gas logs will come ablaze with color, setting the scene for those who find a cozy, country atmosphere appealing.
